My name is Sherrie and I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and SBD Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula serving Gig Harbor, WA and the surrounding area. I am a Childbirth Educator, Lactation Educator, Baby Wearing Educator, and Trained in Aromatherapy for Pregnancy Birth and Postpartum. I have been practicing since 2009 and I love what I do. My goal is for you to be present in your birthing experience to achieve the birth YOU want!

    “When my husband and I met Sherrie, she had a calming presence, a good background of training and experience, and a friendly, down-to-earth manner. We had just agreed to work together when, out of the blue, we got the news that every parent dreads. We had lost the baby. Even though it wasn't what Sherrie had signed up for, she didn't back down. She was there for us every step of the way. She rearranged her schedule to be with us, more than a month ahead of our due date. She thought ahead to arrange resources we didn't know we needed. Sherrie's presence in the delivery room was as calming, knowledgeable and supportive as I had hoped. She provided relief for my husband and sister to take breaks throughout the 3-day hospital stay. She even came to our home for post-partum recovery needs. She emailed resources and encouragement in the weeks after our loss. I am hopeful that I will find the courage to have another baby. And if I do, I hope Sherrie is available to be our doula again because I know I can count on her, no matter what.”

She was very knowledgeable and friendly with a warm demeanor. I especially liked that we were able to go through all of the information in a one day class, since we have a 4 year old already and need to schedule a sitter in order to attend classes together.
